Assessments for all dogs

Assessments are part of the UCS Main League and are designed to give you a clear, structured way to track your dog’s progress.

There are currently 3 leagues, each made up of 5 levels, Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert and Master, allowing you and your dog to develop step by step across all four components, Kong Detection, Match to Sample, Trail ID, and Retrieve.

Rather than competing against others, assessments focus on your own journey, giving you recognised progression, clear feedback, and a strong foundation to build your skills in a structured and rewarding way.

To participate in assessments or competitions, you will need to register your dog and receive a UK Scent Sport ID number.
