"He's manipulating you."

"Leave him to cry it out."

"He needs to learn."

If you've owned a puppy for more than five minutes, you've probably heard at least one of those.

A puppy cries in a crate.

A puppy follows you from room to room.

A puppy struggles when left alone.

A puppy seeks reassurance when faced with something scary.

And somewhere, usually on social media, someone insists the puppy is manipulating you. Like a sentient being that's only been on the planet a few weeks has the capacity to plan world domination!
